Ambati Rambabu predicts mid-term elections
YSR Congress party’s official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu on Sunday predicted the possibility of mid-term elections in the State.
Speaking to media persons, Rambabu said that either government chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy or Kamalapuram MLA Veerasiva Reddy has neither capacity nor moral values to criticise towering leader and late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. Alleging that the Congress leaders were conspiring to paint late YSR as a great villain, Rambabu said that their strategy would boomerang resulting in the ruling party biting dust in the ensuing by-elections.
Alleging that the ruling Congress and the main Opposition Telugu Desam party were going ahead with a joint agenda of annihilating the YSR Congress party, Rambabu said that Chandrababu Naidu was holding talks with the Congress leaders to deal a fatal blow to the YSR Congress party and its chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Stating that the hostile attitude of Congress party was crystal clear on the day when YSR’s name was included in the CBI charge-sheet, Ambati alleged that the former was trying to wreak vengeance against Jagan Mohan Reddy taking the name YSR. The YSRC leader also said that it was atrocious on the part of Congress leaders to unleash vilification campaign against late chief minister after enjoying power and posts in the government brought by him. He also said that the Congress party has exposed its criminality by painting YSR as a monster of corruption.
The YSRC spokesperson reiterated that both the ruling Congress and Telugu Desam party would collapse like a two-headed monster in the ensuing by-elections to 18 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency. He also predicted that mid-term elections may be announced immediately after by-poll results were out.
Stating that the “Congress Boat” had suffered a gaping hole on the day when Jagan was removed from the ruling party, he ridiculed that former megastar K. Chiranjeevi jumped into that boat which was on the verge of sinking. Ambati demanded that the Congress leaders, who were claiming to be political heirs of late YSR, give an explanation for targeting the great leader in the by-elections.
