Amarnath yatra remained suspended for the second consecutive day today and no pilgrim was allowed to move from Jammu to Kashmir Valley as most-wanted Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani’s death in an encounter by the security forces in Kashmir. Amarnath yatra pilgrims stranded in Lakhanpur after yatra was suspended following unrest in the state.

Andhra Pradesh govt is in touch with AP Bhavan officials in Delhi and also they have got in touch with Police officials trying to rescue stranded Amarnath pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh.
AP officials will ensure their safety and are constantly monitoring the rescue efforts to make pilgrims feel safe.
