Tamil Nadu’s ruling AIADMK on Thursday after sacking its Deputy General Secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran are heading for a possible merger of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma faction led by O. Panneerselvam and the faction of Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisamy.
According to sources, A proposal has been sent from Edappadi K. Palanisamy that he will remain as chief minister and O. Panneerselvam will be made the deputy chief minister of Tamilnadu. All the appointments made by AIADMK Deputy General Secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran stand null and void.
While Panneerselvam camp said merger is possible when only after removal of Sasikala’s camp completely and setting up of a judicial enquiry into AIADMK supremo J. Jayalalithaa’s death. Both Palaniswami and Panneerselvam will be travelling to Delhi to finalise the talks.
