Adilabad records max temperature of 44 deg C

Adilabad Town has recorded a maximum temperature of 44 Degrees Celsius for the second consecutive day today even as the Meterological Department here has forecast heat wave conditions to prevail in Rayalaseema and Telangana Regions during the next 24 hours.

Talking to UNI, an official in the Met department said the state capital recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degress celsius today, suprassing 41.9 Degrees recorded on May 2. He said the minimum temperature recorded was 25.5 degrees celsius and added there was no chance of rainfall in coastal Andhra Pradesh during the above period as chances for formation of cloud were very bleak. The official said the heatwave conditions were triggered by the dry North Westerly Wind and if it turns in westernly direction, moisture will pick up from Arabian Sea which could lead to rains in the state.
