ACB fears organised crime involved in liquor syndicate

Liquor trade in Andhra Pradesh appears to be in the hands of an organised criminal gangs, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) suspects and said it is determined to act against all those involved in liquor syndicate cases. In a release here, ACB said investigations had so far revealed that the acts of liquor syndicate in the state were not ordinary cases of corruption but ‘several ingredients of organised crime were observed. ‘With limited resources ACB is determined to act against all those involved in these cases’ it added. ACB said it was committed to take action against any one against whom adequate evidence has been gathered and will never act under duress. It said ‘the entire course of investigation in the cases pertaining to liquor syndicates is being conducted in a professional manner and ACB has brought all the material gathered during investigation before the concerned Courts.’
