ACB Court adjourns tainted CBI judge’s plea

The ACB court today adjourned the hearing on petition of tainted CBI Special Court Judge T Pattabhirama Rao, who was remanded to judicial custody till July 3 in cash-for bail-case of Former KarnatakaMinister and Mining Baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, seeking special category status in prison to June 22. In his petition, Pattabhirama Rao’s counsel Ravindra Kumar said his client was suffering from health problems, including neck and back pain since 2005 and suffered a heart attack also. Pattabhirama Rao needed immediate medical attention and special category status in prison. However, the counsel of ACB, who opposed special category status, said jail officials would treat the judge as per jail manual. After hearing of arguments and counter arguments, the court posted the next hearing to June 22.
