Seven persons were killed and 16 injured in two different road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today. Police said four persons were killed and six others injured when a Tavera vehicle in which they were travelling hit a road side parked lorry at Pulampet Mandal of Kadapa district. The deceased, hailing from Dubbaka village of Medak district, were on their way to the temple town of Tirupati when the accident occurred. The injured were admitted to Rajampet Government Hospital, police added. In another accident, three persons were killed and ten others injured when the van in which they were travelling hit a stationery lorry after the driver lost control of the vehicle at Chinnayapalem of Thomdangi Mandal in East Godavari district. The occupants in the van were on their way to the holy shrine of Annavaram from Ongole when the accident occurred, police said. The deceased were identified as Venkateswarulu (55), Driver Subba Rao (40), and Appa Rao (55). The injured were admitted to Tuni area hospital, police added. A case was registered and investigation was underway, police said.
