Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need of women empowerment in Andhra Pradesh Assembly today on the eve of International Women’s day.
Naidu moved the resolution in the House urging the centre to provide 33 per cent reservations for women in Legislative and other elected bodies, which was unanimously adopted by the Assembly
He said, Party founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao in the previous TDP government regime, bought the equal rights in properties to women .
He said, After TDP came into power, he gap between men and women in various fields had narrowed down. He said, DWCRA groups have 8.75 lakh women and Rs.10,000 crore for the empowerment of women . Padmavathi Mahila Vidayalam was established in Tirupati of Chittoor district, claimed Naidu
He listed out stating that, 33 % reservations to women in educational institutions, fast track courts were set up , committees established for the welfare of women, women teams for protection of women .
