A local court here today granted two days police custody for suspended CBI Judge T Pattabhirama Rao the cash-for-bail case involving Former Karnataka Minister and Obalapuram Mining Case (OMC) Accused Gali Janardhan Reddy.
After hearing the arguments from both the sides, the Principal Court for Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) granted two-days police custodyagainst three-days requested by the ACB.
The court directed the bureau to question the suspended judge from 1100 hrs to 1700 hrs and send him back to Cherlapally Jail after expiry of the custody. The ACB wanted to question him with his son Ravichandra, who is already in the agency’s custody in the same case. The court had earlier sent Ravichandra and Retired DistrictJudge TV Chalapatyhi Rao to ACB custody. Mr Rao was arrested on June 19 after being charged him with granting bail to Mr Reddy after accepting a huge bribe.
