17 Indian soldiers killed in Terrorist Attack In Uri


At Least, 17 Indian soldiers killed in a terrorists attack on a military center in Jammu and Kashmir .

In the worst attack on military camp near Uri town at 5:30 am on sunday morning, the terrorists entered the camp after cutting the fencing wire and resorted to indiscriminate automatic gunfire from AK-47 rifles.

Army headquarters in Uri sector left with 17 soldiers dead and 19 others wounded in the attack. Indian army retaliated by killing all the four infiltrators. Four AK-47 rifles were recovered.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh rushed to take stock of the situation.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti paying tributes to Indian soldiers , extended condolences to their families . She said, this attack aimed at creating war-like situation in the state.
