16 killed in poll related violence in West Bengal

wb-electionsAt least 16 people were killed in poll related violence in Panchayat poll that took place in west Bengal state.

At least 16 people were killed and around 50 injured in West bengal including 7 deaths from Nandigram in Medinipur, Nadia and Murshidabad districts , 4 died in South 24 Parganas and 5 in Cooch Behar.

While State Director General of Police Surajit Kar Purkayastha said only 6 are dead in poll related violence and another 6 in other cases.

The ruling TMC goons captured polling booths barring Voters, Ballot boxes looted at gunpoint by unidentified people at 44, 45 and 45K booths in Murshidabad. TMC minister Rabindranath Ghosh slapped a BJP worker during Elections.
