Indian Air Force rescue operations in flood-hit areas in Chennai

Indian-Air-Force-rescue-operations-in-flood-hit-areas-in-ChennaiLife continued to be affected in the flood-hit areas in Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

The Indian Air Force has evacuate hundreds of passengers stranded at the Chennai airport .Air Force airlifted 200 stranded passengers from flood-hit Chennai and flew them to Hyderabad, Tambaram and Arakkonam airbase.Around 250-300 passengers are stranded at the Chennai airport

The aircraft landed at Air Force Station, Begumpet. Meanwhile Airbus 320 flew in from Hyderabad at the Navy base with food , 250 army personnels and medicines. Choppers were used to drop the food and medicines in the worst affected Chennai and other districts .

Ministry of civil aviation has announced that 6 flights from tomorrow and another 6 flights from day after tomorrow would leave from INS Rajali to go to various places.

South Central Railway has cancelled several express trains fully and partially diverted some due to heavy rains ,water over flowing on Railway Bridges in Chennai-Gudur Section.
